Questions
Frequently asked
Short answers to what universities, educators and researchers ask us most. Anything else, just write to us.
What is AOUNVA?
AOUNVA is a global Human-AI innovation, creativity and sustainability hub. We help universities, educators and families keep human thinking strong when AI does more of the reasoning, through research, AI-resilient assessment and training.
What is Distributed Epistemic Displacement (DED)?
DED is the research framework behind all our work. It shows that AI does not only extend human cognition; it redistributes epistemic agency, shifting where reasoning, justification and responsibility happen. DED asks where human knowledge and agency go when AI reasons for us.
Is AOUNVA against the use of AI?
No. We welcome AI as a powerful tool. Our aim is to keep the human mind in the loop, so that learning, assessment and decisions still reflect real human understanding.
Who do you work with?
Universities, colleges, faculty-development and quality-assurance teams, researchers and families worldwide. Our services are aligned with higher education institutions’ requirements and can be delivered on campus or online.
Is the Displacement Audit really free?
Yes. The Displacement Audit is a free ten-question self-check that shows how much of a course’s assessment can be completed by AI. You see your result instantly, and saving it is optional.
How can institutions, professors and researchers collaborate with AOUNVA?
We welcome joint research and publications, doctoral and early-career mentoring, assessment redesign pilots, and grants and international projects. Write to us at hello@aounva.com with a short note about your interests.
How can we book a workshop or a Course Audit?
Email hello@aounva.com with your institution, the audience and your preferred dates. We will reply with a proposal tailored to your context.
